Emmie’s Books has generously donated over 1,000 books to hospitals and individual children battling cancer and other serious illnesses.

Following the success of a poster campaign that portrayed children in hospital gowns being transported to a fantasy landscape through the books they're reading, I was tasked with expanding this concept into a short promotional film.

By merging classic fantasy imagery with Emmie’s Books’ existing Studio Ghibli-inspired aesthetic, we collaborated to create an expansive fantasy realm filled with endless possibilities.

The film was crafted using a blend of traditional 2D animation techniques in TV Paint, hand-drawn environments in Photoshop, and seamlessly composited together in After Effects.
